Tasted with the winemaker, Luís Sottomayor, June 2024. 43% Touriga Franca, 40% Touriga Nacional, 10% Sousão, 5% Tinta Cão, 2% Tinta Roriz. Thanks to the range of altitudes at Luís’ disposal, this wine is masterfully balanced. The 2015 Barca Velha is described by Luís as combining the structure and longevity of the 2011 with the freshness and elegance of the 2008. Aromas of black cherry and plums marry with an inky richness, tapenade and roasted coffee.
