Dirk comments that Redoma represents the Douro as it is - with a strong character. The palate is well defined and delineated – intensity of fruit with depth of flavour, a well integrated tannic structure, a mineral character and a persistent, long finish. Overall this a wine of concentration, freshness and elegance. The wine has a restraint and subtlety too, and revealed its complexity and personality as we tasted this wine over a period of a week.
