Ornellaia 2023 opens with polished nose of dark fruit. The palate is a little more open and relaxed than the 2022 was on release. There is plenty of concentration and controlled power but it’s surprisingly elegant. There are hints of blue fruit alongside the more classic blackcurrant and rosemary. The tannins are gorgeously silky leading to long satisfying finish.
