An indigenous grape variety of the Aosta Valley, this is an endearingly rustic red, that maintains poise, purity, and lots of energy. It’s like a cross between Gamay and Syrah, with a deep colour, bright fruit, and then an almost chocolate-tinged finish. Delicious, and with brilliant acidity a wonderful pairing for barbecue food.
