Rocche dell'Annunziata is one of the greatest vineyards in Barolo. Situated on the hillside that runs down from la Morra, one of the best situated plots in the vineyard belongs to Rocche Costamagna. This is fresh and focussed, and there's a beautiful core of dark fruit, with notes of tar and powdery tannins. Always quite an approachable Barolo, this will still stand the test of time.
