A beautifully delineated nose of iris, dried violets, dark cherry fruit with subtle oak spice. Wet rocks, a little earth and soy add complexity, but the core of the wine is so pure, so idiomatic. There is extraordinary freshness and focus here with supple, chalky tannins creating tension on the finish. Extremely refined Brunello which will only improve with time.
