2019 Barolo Romirasco, Poderi Aldo Conterno, Piedmont
The Romirasco vineyard is 50 – 55 years old and situated on the highest point of the hill of Bussia, with a lot of the fruit going into their iconic Barolo ‘Granbussia’. This is a full bodied wine with a mix of red and black berry fruits, spice and leather notes adding layers of complexity. The firm, chalky tannins of the 2019 vintage provide enough support to the wine's concentration and generosity on the palate. With only 6000 bottles produced, this wine has it all and is well worth ageing in the cellar for several years.
