The 2016 San Marcellino is an outstanding single vineyard Chianti. It’s delicate yet intense on the nose, with fresh herbs, wild flowers, and a core of morello cherry fruit. The palate is refined and focused and there’s so much energy here. This needs a year or two to show its best, but it’s an outstanding effort form Marco and his team.
