2016 is a wonderful vintage in Piedmont: this shows it brilliantly. Intense and powerful, with amazing energy and ripe cherries and notes of orange peel and rose petals, there’s silky, fine tannins and such minerality and precision on the finish. Brilliant: one to stock up on.
