2015 Barolo, Pio Cesare, Piedmont

2015 Barolo, Pio Cesare, Piedmont

Notes of orange rind and wild strawberries swirl from the glass, with plenty of spice definition, too. The palate is structured yet soft, with endearing salinity and drive on the palate. Very long and finessed, this is a benchmark for the estate.

Tasting notes

Complex aromas of smoke, ash and dark fruits with a precision and intensity. Layered and gorgeous. Loads of dark fruit and perfume. Full-bodied with round and wonderfully polished tannins. Wonderful length and richness. Goes on for minutes. Try in 2023 but already good now.
