2015 Barbaresco, Manuel Marinacci, Piedmont

Another brilliant wine from this hidden gem of Piedmont. This has bright cherry fruit, wild strawberries, and spearmint brimming from the glass, with such a delicious, moreish texture too. Juicy and long, it’s the kind of wine where one bottle just isn’t enough.

2015 Barbaresco, Manuel Marinacci, Piedmont
Manuel Marinacci

Manuel Marinacci is a first generation winemaker who, desperate to follow his dreams, headed off to study wine-making in Alba and ended up in class alongside the likes of legendary Giuseppe Mascarello. He’s since built up a little estate in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio in the Barbaresco zone with the first vintage in 2004. Manuel’s clearly borrowed a thing or two from Mascarello: these are traditional Nebbiolos, where purity of fruit is key. And his wines are nothing short of delicious.
