2014 Barolo, Figli Luigi Oddero

The 2014 Barolo from Oddero comes from three plots, in La Morra, Castiglione and Serralunga. And this shows that the whole is greater than the sum of parts, with a finessed nose, and hints of tar and cool, crunchy fruit. This is pure, elegant Nebbiolo: a top performer in 2014.

2014 Barolo, Figli Luigi Oddero
Figli Luigi Oddero

While the name Oddero has long been associated with Barolo, it was only in 2006 that Luigi split from his brother Giacomo to found this label on his own. With his wife and two young children, and 32 hectares of the family’s vineyards, Luigi set out to start a new family tradition. Sadly, he passed away in 2009, though his family has carried on his legacy. With the advice of Dante Scaglione, former winemaker at Bruno Giacosa, they are well-positioned to produce classic, elegant Barolos.
