2014 Barbaresco, Manuel Marinacci, Piedmont

A beautifully pure, elegant nose leads onto a palate with wonderful acidity and so much balance. This is a lesson in just how elegant and suave Nebbiolo can be. Delicious already, it's a wine to give pleasure over years to come.

Manuel Marinacci

Manuel Marinacci is a first generation winemaker who, desperate to follow his dreams, headed off to study wine-making in Alba and ended up in class alongside the likes of legendary Giuseppe Mascarello. He’s since built up a little estate in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio in the Barbaresco zone with the first vintage in 2004. Manuel’s clearly borrowed a thing or two from Mascarello: these are traditional Nebbiolos, where purity of fruit is key. And his wines are nothing short of delicious.
