Following on from the impressive 2012, the 2013 Flaccianello is once again an absolute show-stopper. Giovanni's skill and precision has coaxed the cool concentration from the fabulous 2013 vintage in Tuscany to create a wine both finely balanced and immensely polished. Its vibrant, dark fruit shows such flair, with a polished integration thanks to a touch lower alcohol and oak influence. The palate is all-encompassing, filling the mouth with a silky coulis of fruit and framing the wine with muscular but finely textured tannins. One of the best we've ever tried.
