2012 Lay & Wheeler Barolo

Barolo is arguably Italy’s most famous wine regions, and we knew our range wouldn’t be complete with a top example of this important wine. We went straight to the source, steep slopes planted in the famous local Nebbiolo grape, and tasted scores of 2012 Barolos blind. And we crowned a winner amongst the king of wines, made by brothers Osvaldo and Bruno Cabutto of Tenuta La Volta, a tiny estate with royal roots.

This wine is now sold out. Please get in touch with your advisor or one of our team on [email protected] or 01473 313 300 for more information or guidance on an alternative.

2012 Lay & Wheeler Barolo
Lay & Wheeler Own Label

We’ve sought out the best fine wines since 1854, from some of the best winemakers in the world. But it’s been quite a while since we featured any with our own mark. So we decided to knock on the door of a few cellars to find some wines of outstanding quality that don’t get the recognition they deserve, to launch our very own label. And here is the debut.
