This single vineyard situated in the prestigious village of La Morra is planted to 60 year old vines at the top of the hill on dark sand over clay soils. The profile is juicy and concentrated with red plum, cherries and liquorice spice with very approachable tannins and a delight to drink now.
Underbrush, dried herb, raisin, saddle leather and balsamic aromas follow over to the ripe palate along with dried cherry, crushed herb and ground clove. Taut tightly wound tannins provide a grippy framework. Give the tannins a few years to unwind then drink to capture the remaining fruit
