2007 Barolo Bricco Boschis, Cavallotto, Piedmont

In ‘God’s little vineyard’, 2007 was a warm and very dry year, which has produced a richly textured wine with notes of star anise, leather and dried fruit on the nose. Bold and somewhat opulent in style, this has rich, fig and damson fruit and a layered, mouthfilling texture. Another great Bricco from this most traditional of domaines.

2007 Barolo Bricco Boschis, Cavallotto, Piedmont

The Cavallotto family home can be found right in the heart of their vineyard called Bricco Boschis. From here they produce some of the greatest Barolos. Siblings Giuseppe, Laura and Alfio are now in charge and while their wines continue to be traditional expressions of Nebbiolo, the Cavallottos have always been trailblazers in other ways. They are some of the first to experiment with organic viticulture, and to bottle and sell their own wines, rather than work through a merchant.
