2007 Barolo Fossati, Enzo Boglietti, Piedmont

Just 3,000 bottles of this wine, from the superb Fossati vineyard in La Morra, are made. It's rich and sweet, but with classic floral aromas on the finish. It is aged for 15 months in small barriques to add character, followed by 15 months in larger 'botti' to mature, without adding extra wood tannins. This is a big, bold wine and has a long, long finish.
