2007 Barolo Bricat, Giovanni Manzone, Piedmont

2007 Barolo Bricat, Giovanni Manzone, Piedmont

This is the estate’s top Barolo which comes from a tiny parcel of Le Gramolere called ‘Bricat’. A serious nose, full of red fruits, sweet dark cherry, herbs and dark chocolate. The silky but strong, firm tannins and vibrant acidity create an ideal structure for the tarter fruit on the palate – a combination of loganberries and floral notes. The finish is delightfully fresh and attractive. This is a very polished wine with impeccable balance in this stylish and sought-after vintage. (Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate, 94 points)
