Gianluca Grasso rates his 2006s very highly indeed. We were lucky enough to taste 2006-2009 inclusive and the 06s certainly had a perfume and classic structure, which for me is what great Nebbiolo is all about. A highly perfumed nose of exotic spices and rose petals follows through to a pure and elevated palate, firm yet elegant structure and surprising concentration. This is tightly wound and enormously long. It will be very good indeed.
