Rounded and appealing on the nose, with notes of soft ripe fruit to the fore. On the palate, there is an immediate sense of freshness, which enlivens the core of red berry and autumnal fruit. Oak-based spice and a touch of herbaceous-complexity give this wine a delicious layered character. The tannins are bold, but fine and the elevated acidity carries the fresh nature through to the long finish.
