2006 Barolo Fossati, Enzo Boglietti, Piedmont

The vines in Enzo's part of Fossati are now reaching maturity and, since the 2004 vintage, the quality of Fossati has matched Enzo's other Cru wines. This has the Boglietti trademark of deep colour and a lovely, expressive, pure red fruit nose. Open and expansive on the palate, it has floral notes, with great balance and integrated tannins. It is still Boglietti's most refined wine, but now it has real depth.
