At only 0.5 hectares, the old vines are situated at a notable altitude of 950 metres and with its south east exposition benefit from the morning sun. It is the volcanic soils with a tectonic plate fault line running through the middle of the vineyard, as well as the very shallow topsoil that really underpin this wine’s unique quality. There is a restrained concentration to this wine that combines bramble fruits and juiciness on the palate with more savoury, garrigue aromas with chalky tannins and crushed gravel.
