The grapes come from some truly exciting plots on southwest hillsides that are rich in minerals with big rocks of slate amongst gneiss and dolomite calcareous soils. The wine is intensely focused and mineral with a nervy acidity and tightly knit tannin structure. Sour cherry, pomegranate and blood orange notes are supported by clove spice and wild herbs. The finish is so long.
