The 2018 Viña del Olivo is a stunning wine. A cool vintage has given this stunning poise and energy, while the shorter barrel ageing than many Riojas maintains a stunning core of fruit. This is silky, with plush tannins, and a real sense of restrained power. The finish is mineral, long, and mouthwatering. Brilliant.
