2008 was a cooler vintage in Ribera, which seems to have worked well with the Vega’s very specific terroir. The team employed an extremely strict selection and have produced a wine which has Bordeaux-like proportions, helped by the 10% Merlot component. With a complex nose of peppery red/black fruit and some cedar, this is a vibrant wine with great freshness and an intense and linear structure. Complex and refined, with good ageing potential.
