2003 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese, Fritz Haag, Mosel

A floral quality to the aroma here – unmistakable ripe, fresh peach too. The palate is intense, ripe and rounded with exotic nuances to the fruit. Tangy lemon and a dried apricot sweetness are equally discernible. The wine's fruit characters are today more expressive than its mineral and slate notes, though time will surely bring these to the surface. A very rich and expressive auslese.
