The is an intense, powerful Riesling, with notes of pineapple, lemon rind and wet stones on the nose. The palate is so concentrated, it's hard not to be blown away by the power here. The finish goes on for a an age, giving just a hint of the potential. This is impressive from Schloss Johannisberg.

Tasting notes

The wine is full-bodied, round, intense and very elegant on the palate. Provided with a persistent mineral structure and a vital acidity, it will go for many years[...]On the palate the grand cru is again powerful, pure and well structured, revealing a great complexity and length. It was bottled with just three grams per liter of residual sugar, but doesn't lack anything. This is a great GG.
