2014 Llopart Original 1887 Brut Nature Reserva, Penedès
A blend of 25% Macabeo, 25% Xarel-lo, and 50% Montonega (a biotype of Parellada), this comes from a parcel of old mountain vineyards at 380 metres above sea level. There is huge complexity here with notes of crystallised ginger, wild herbs, sourdough and nougat. The palate is wonderfully creamy and bright with vibrant line of salinity and freshness. A wonderfully complex sparkling from Llopart.
