Having tasted the grapes in 2009 from this small Hampshire vineyard, winemaker Cherie Spriggs realised that she had no choice than to make England’s first specifically single vineyard wine. 79% Pinot Noir gives a distinctly red fruit nose, but it retains a slight herbal note. This is very pure with delicate red apple, a slight minerality and wonderful freshness: a truly wonderful expression of a uniquely English terroir.
