The 2006 Clos Damiana is one of the most remarkable sparkling wines we’ve tried. Notes of potpourri and elderflower flow from the glass, while the palate is structured and intense, with vibrant acidity, plenty of grip, and a huge dose of salinity. The finish lasts for minutes, and with time in the glass the wine opens up further. This is astonishing. It shouldn’t be missed. Just 1,824 bottles produced.
