2014 Champagne Philipponnat, Cuvée 1522 Rosé

This rosé is composed of 82% Pinot Noir from Ay, Mailly and Verzy and 18% Chardonnay from Verzy. 8% of the Pinot Noir was vinified as a red wine, from their Mareuil-sur-Ay vineyards. The wine was aged for 8 years on lees before its initial release. Red berry fruit, black cherry and a slight smokiness.
