This rosé was re-branded with the Emotion label last year, and it absolutely blew us away. The follow up release of the 2013 has kept us enthralled. It's a blend of 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir (saignée) from vines with an average age of 45 years, all premier cru. It is savoury and ripe, with a level of precision and detail on the nose uncommon to rosé Champagnes. This is a truly great follow-up to the 2012, and continues the cuvée's astonishing complexity of flavours - clementine, grilled nuts, rose petals, and a salty umami quality. This is effortlessly balanced and will age magnificently.
