N/V l'Ouverture Premier Cru, Champagne Savart
Frédéric Savart produces brilliant Champagne from minuscule organically-farmed parcels in the villages of Écueil and Villers-aux-Noeuds. L’Ouverture is a superb three-vintage Blanc de Noirs fermented in a combination of stainless steel and neutral barrels, before aging under cork. It is medium to full-bodied, elegant and superbly balanced, perfectly emphasising the Savart style. Flavours focus on orchard fruit, white flowers and pastry.
