N/V Grande Cuvée, Edition 169, Krug

Krug Edition 169 is another soaring success from this house that champions, above all, its non-vintage blend. It is the result of 146 different wines from 11 vintages expertly blended by the team at Krug. The reserved wines span back to the 2000 vintage, whose buttery richness, in particular, Olivier singled out as being the secret to 169’s success. The 2013 vintage is the Edition’s most recent component, and forms the heart of this blend. It brings to it a thrilling freshness, culminating in a wine so quintessentially Krug: luxuriously rich and superbly fresh all at once.
