Gosset's first ever Zero Dosage is clear success. The base vintage is 2013 but this has had 2 years in tank then 10 years on lees, before being disgorged in 2025. It is a blend of 62% Chardonnay and 38% Pinot Noir and as with all Gosset wines, there was no malolactic fermentation. This has aromas of ripe lemon, with hints of apple and almonds. But the palate is where this gets really exciting. It is taught and precise with a long linear structure, and the finish is very fresh, with a gorgeous salty minerality and very fine bubbles. This has more generosity and a fuller body than many zero dosage renditions because of the 10 years on lees. This is an exciting, electric champagne but also serious and sophisticated.
