2010 Domaine de Trévallon Rouge

This wine displays Eloi Dürrbach’s meticulous winemaking and great attention to detail.
The nose is darkly herbaceous, with subtle notes of woodsmoke and black berries. On the palate, the Cabernet Sauvignon provides a dense, taut structure to luscious, ripe violet-scented Syrah fruit. This is a substantial wine, but it is well-balanced by a steely minerality and delicious vein of freshness that runs throughout. A tremendous blend of classic Claret and voluptuous Rhône: beautiful.
