1989 Chinon Les Quatre Ferrures, Bruno Sourdais

1989 Chinon Les Quatre Ferrures, Bruno Sourdais

The first thing that strikes you with this impeccably aged Chinon is the freshness. On the nose the fruit remains fresh and pure, while the palate has such focussed acidity and lift. There are notes of forest floor, tobacco, and lots of bloody iron oxide notes. This is brilliant Chinon, and shows how well the Cabernet Franc grape can age.
