This is the defining grand cru of the village of Turckheim. The wines from this site often have a ripe and approachable acidity, and this 2019 has an amazing weight and tension. It is tightly coiled on the nose, and like the Clos Windsbuhl, could do with a little time in the cellar. The palate shows much promise of the wine’s future - there is a green lime focus, with some ginger spice at the back. This has Brand’s typical power, with structural acidity, nad a puckering, dry finish. Residual sugar 1 g/l
