2007 Riesling Cuvée Frédéric-Emile, Trimbach
The grapes for this cuvée are always hand-harvested as late as possible in order to achieve maximum ripeness. The result is a complex wine of real drive and intensity. Notes of lemon zest, peach and kernel combine on the full palate, which is backed up by a powerful dart of acidity. There is an almost saline quality to this wine, with beautiful purity and rich concentration. This is a fantastic cuvée, which will continue to please over the next fifteen years.
