The 2023 Vieux Télégraphe is rather profound and serious with red and black cherry fruit, notes of liquorice root and bitter herbs with a lift of blood orange. The palate feels supple and focused with tug of tannins framing the fruit. A very compelling wine this year that marries intensity and aromatic definition but without a sense of weight or opulence.
