This superb wine from Domaine Giraud comes from 50-80 year old vines grown across the various soil types found in the Châteauneuf appellation. In 2020 it has a serious and persistent focus and power. The tannins here have great presence, and it will need a little time in bottle before approaching. But in time, this will unfurl as a stunning wine, with the garrigue wildness of its Grenache heart singing out.
