2016 Côte-Rôtie, Côte Brune, Domaine Rostaing

The Rostaings only make Côte Brune in the very best vintages, and this is the frst since 2013. It’s dark, mineral and brooding, but there’s undeniably fnesse and elegance too. Wonderfully powerful, mouth-coating tannins, amazing length and such defnition of flavour on the fnish. Strictly limited to 6 bottles per customer.

2016 Côte-Rôtie, Côte Brune, Domaine Rostaing
Domaine René Rostaing

A master in his field, René Rostaing is an anomaly. While his wife inherited some of the finest plots in the Côte-Rôtie, he initially elected a career in real estate, though he gradually spent more time making wine until he took it on full time in 2000. With 7.5 hectares of prime land, he blends the best of traditional and modern techniques in the vineyard and cellar, producing terroir-driven wines. René has recently been joined by his son, Pierre, whose first vintage in control was 2015.
