2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Croix de Bois, M. Chapoutier

Chapoutier have used 100% Grenache for both Châteauneufs released at this point, and this has gorgeous tannins that seem to take on something of a furry but very fine texture on the palate. Whilst the fruit is deep and full-bodied, it is in no way overripe, with the defining impression of this wine one of purity and a savoury edge.
