The nose on this is deep and brooding, but with wonderful definition of violets, strawberry fruit, cherries and spice. The palate is intense and concentrated, with fine tannins that build quickly, offering a glimpse of this wine's potential. Most impressive, however, is the wine's freshness, which balances the ripeness of flavours that come from the heat of the vintage.
