2013 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château de Beaucastel

2013 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château de Beaucastel

A surprisingly concentrated, pure, ripe and very expressive nose with loads of dark cherries and a black forest gâteau-like sweetness, transcended by Beaucastel’s hallmark lift and elegance. The palate is simply effortless and delicious, with a gentle texture, superb balance and fleshy, fresh fruit. Jeb Dunnuck notes: “The Mourvèdre is the star of the show...this should come together beautifully in bottles and be one of the vintage’s strongest efforts”.
