2011 Cornas, Les Vieilles Vignes, Alain Voge

Lavender, thyme and rosemary provide an enticing aroma. This is a very attractive and perfumed Cornas. There is excellent balance on the palate, with soft and rounded tannins and a mouthwatering acidity. The fruit flavours are dark and there is a slight gamey note too. Albéric compared this wine to the 2007 vintage, but with 2011 having greater freshness and concentration.
