Made from the fruit from 80-year-old vines and spending two years in 30% new oak, this has to be the finest wine produced in Cornas. Closed and brooding at the moment, but contact with air brings meaty, exotic characters and notes of truffle and black and blueberries. This is rich, concentrated Syrah, built for the long haul.
