Jerome Bressy took the reins at Domaine Gourt de Mautens in 1996 and has done much to improve quality ever since. Yields here are incredibly low and the wine is a product of remarkable attention to detail. Striking, pure aromas of sweet, scented damson and succulent dark cherry are confirmed on the gentle, velvety palate. Notes of spice, liquorice and pepper are also in evidence with a stony mineral nature to the finish. A remarkably fine-textured Rasteau.
