Dense, youthful crimson to the rim of the glass. The aromas show restraint but nonetheless highlight a scented nature, dark hedgerow fruit, sweet ripe cherry and a certain stony, mineral character. Intense but finely balanced, this is a refined, textural style, remarkably elegant and deep knit, with flowing fruit. Very pure and natural with characters of fine ripe fruit, fresh and well-expressed, notes of provençal herbs, and a red fruit vibrance. There is a mineral quality on the finish that lingers on as does the ripe red fruit character. This is an expansive style, with finely-grained, almost silken tannins. Very impressive.
